Journey to the Andes: Serve Among the Pewenche People of Southern Chile ✨Click here to view a recap of our 2025 experience.
This March, join us on a life-changing adventure to the stunning Alto Bio Bio region of Chile. Nestled in the Andes Mountains along the beautiful Bio Bio River, the town of Ralco is home to both Chilean and Pewenche communities—an indigenous people rich in tradition and resilience.
Our team will partner in a meaningful project: constructing a 750-square-foot cabin/home that will serve multiple purposes. These homes will:
• Provide sustainable income for ministry through rentals.
• Serve as a retreat center for pastors, missionaries, and leaders needing rest and renewal.
• Offer housing for future interns preparing for missionary service across Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East.
But this trip is about more than construction. Together, we’ll:
• Visit Pewenche families in their homes.
• Distribute food baskets and offer encouragement.
• Build relationships that open doors for ongoing church-planting efforts.
• Share Christ’s love in both practical and personal ways.
And after our time of service, we’ll celebrate with two days of adventure in Chile’s breathtaking landscape—hiking, zip lining, soaking in natural hot springs, and more.
March is a beautiful season in Chile—warm days, cool evenings, and vibrant fall colors painting the mountainsides. Come prepared to work hard, laugh and experience both the joy of service and the wonder of God’s creation.
Don’t miss this opportunity to invest in a community, strengthen God’s work among the Pewenche, and return home forever changed.
This trip is physically moderate, and will likely contain mostly unpaved, uneven/hilly terrain, or lots of walking/stairs and/or medium lifting. Sometimes comfortable climate, maybe no A/C. Probably 3-4 of the following conditions–uncertainty, odd schedules, emotional stress, long or difficult travel days, culture shock, language barrier, jet lag, uncomfortable accommodations, unfamiliar food.
