Ecuador Build + Outreach

Come join us for a life changing experience in the beautiful country of Ecuador. Ecuador straddles the equator with the coast rushing up to snow-capped volcanoes then falling away to the hot Amazon jungle--all in a country the size of the State of Colorado! We will be partnering with our long term friends through IberoAmerican Ministries. IAM is a church planting and compassion based organization working to see peoples, communities and nations transformed by Christ through the global movements of Kingdom disciples. Since 1992 IAM has worked using dynamic discipleship techniques and a variety of compassion and education projects to see this goal come alive. 

Where will we be serving? ICI El Recreo is located in El Recreo, Duran. This is a mixed community just outside of the city of Guayaquil. The church has focused on integrating itself into the community since its start in 2003 with evangelistic activities and more recently with the Sunrise House (Casa Amanecer) program to reach at risk children. 
ICI Cosecha, located in the coastal community of San Vicente, was founded in 2017. After an earthquake in April of 2016, IAM arrived to the area to provide immediate relief and later to build homes for families who suffered a total loss. During that time, we established our newest church ICI Cosecha, to share the hope of the Gospel in this community. Through home groups, personal visits, children activities, and more, we have brought hope and healing to an area still affected by this tragedy. Key projects you will be engaged in inclue home builds, home visits, interacting with sponsored children, hosting a carnival, relationship building, and putting on workshops. The people of Ecuador are warm, inviting, and full of life. And if you have a sponsored child at either El Recreo or San Vicente you will have the opportunity to meet them and deepen your relationship on a personal level.

This trip is physically moderate, and will likely contain mostly unpaved, uneven/hilly terrain, or lots of walking/stairs and/or medium lifting. Sometimes comfortable climate, maybe no A/C. Probably 3-4 of the following conditions–uncertainty, odd schedules, emotional stress, long or difficult travel days, culture shock, language barrier, jet lag, uncomfortable accommodations, unfamiliar food.
