Dear Family & Friends,

I wanted to share some exciting news with you. Our church, Eastside Christian Church, has planned a medical mission, and I have been selected to serve as part of this team! I will be traveling to Turkana, Kenya, this June, where we will have the opportunity to serve by providing medical care to those with little or no healthcare access. I felt a strong desire to be a part of this project because I want to use my time and talents to help those in need. I feel blessed to have been chosen for this incredible opportunity and know there is a lot of work ahead as we begin to prepare. I could use your help! First, I would be honored if you would pray for us...for our preparation, journey, ministry, and spiritual battles surely ahead. Secondly, I’d like to know if you could help cover part of the cost of the trip. Each team member has been entrusted with raising an equal share of the total cost to send us. The amount I personally must raise is $3,500 by June 1st. Contributions to our project are tax deductible and charitable gifts, and Eastside will send a statement for tax purposes at the end of the year.
