In 2024, the first home make over Lori and I visited was to a home near Baba Dogo. The mom looked very underweight and ill. She did not speak much or smile. Her youngest child , Blessing, had no mobility. He did not respond much when we tried interacting with him. They were very thankful for the beds to get them off the floor. We were very concerned about this family and prayed for them throughout the year.
This year we walked into the special needs parent meeting, honestly we didn't expect to see the mom there or even alive. A very healthy smiling woman grabbed my hand and said, "This is Blessing!" He was smiling and responding. Mom's health had improved greatly.
We were further blessed to get to spend the day with Mom and Blessing at the Special Olympics.
