Kenya will always have a special place in my heart. This trip was my third and a project with my sister made it an extra special mission. My sister Stacy and I made it our goal to fundraise to provide Days for Girls kits for all the 5th - 9th grade girls at Napuu School, a beautiful little school where we were served lunch daily. Our friends and family came together quickly and blessed us with funds within less than 3 weeks so we could donate 400 reusable sustainable menstrual kits giving the girls dignity, opportunity and confidence to attend school without unnecessary barriers. Boys and girls were brought together to learn about their anatomy and how fascinating the human really is. The kids soaked up all the information presented ...many quickly taking notes in their notebooks for future reference. Seeing the joy and smiles on the girls faces when they were presented their kits will forever be etched in my mind. Something so simple that has such a lasting impact on a young girl's life was such a blessing to witness. A huge thank you to each of our donors as we could not have done this without your love and support. Each trip has been amazing, and you come home thinking nothing can beat it but something special happens on every trip and it reminds us that God's got more on each of our agenda's... we just have to trust and be looking for it!
